Desktop app troubleshooting

When the desktop app won’t open, won’t sign in, or doesn’t show your projects.

macOS says the app can’t be opened, or is damaged

The download may be incomplete. Delete Scriptr from Applications and Scriptr.dmg from Downloads, download it again from scriptr.co/download/mac, and install it again.

Windows warns about the installer

Check that you downloaded Scriptr-Setup.exe from scriptr.co. If you are unsure where the file came from, don’t run it: delete it, download it again from scriptr.co/download/windows, and write to us if the warning stays.

The app opens but won’t sign in

  • Check your internet connection.
  • Try signing in at app.scriptr.co in your browser. If that fails too, see Signing in.

My projects aren’t there

Check that you signed in with the same account, and the same sign-in method, that you use in your browser. Projects belong to the account that owns or was invited to them.

Still stuck?

Write to hello@scriptr.co with your platform and what you see. Everything in Scriptr also works in your browser at app.scriptr.co in the meantime.
