Inviting someone to a Project

Project owners can invite people by email to view or edit a Project. A copied link never gives anyone access by itself.

Only the Project’s owner, the person who created it, can invite people.

Invite someone

  1. Open the Project and select Share in the top bar.
  2. Enter the person’s email address.
  3. Choose Can edit or Can view. See Viewer vs Editor access.
  4. Select Invite.

Scriptr emails them an invitation. Until they accept, they appear under People with access as Invitation pending · expires in 7 days.

What the person you invite does

  1. They open the invitation email and select the link.
  2. They sign in, or create an account, with the same email address the invitation was sent to.
  3. They select Accept invitation. The Project then appears in their sidebar.

Pending invitations

  • Resend sends the invitation again and gives it a fresh seven days.
  • The ⋯ button beside a pending invitation revokes it.

Copy Project link copies the Project’s address. Only people who already have access can open it, so it is safe to paste into a message to someone you have invited. Scriptr has no public or “anyone with the link” sharing.
