Viewer vs Editor access
Can view lets someone read a Project. Can edit lets them change it. Only the owner manages who has access.
| Owner | Can edit | Can view | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open and read the Project | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Write and change Story, Script and other Project work | Yes | Yes | No |
| Invite people, change roles, remove access | Yes | No | No |
The owner
The owner is the person who created the Project. The owner’s access cannot be changed or removed, and ownership cannot yet be transferred to someone else.
Change someone’s role
- Open Share in the Project.
- Under People with access, change the person between Can edit and Can view.
The change applies straight away.
Editing at the same time
Scriptr does not yet support two people typing in the same Story or Script at the same moment. If someone else saves a newer version while you are writing, Scriptr keeps your copy and tells you, rather than overwriting either. See Recovering recent writing and how autosave works.
