When a payment fails
If a renewal fails you have seven days to update your payment method. Your work is safe either way.
A renewal fails
If your card is declined when your plan renews, Settings → Billing shows a calm alert with the amount, the date and the deadline to update your payment method. Your paid plan carries on for seven days while you sort it out.
- Open Settings → Billing.
- Update your payment method.
- Scriptr tries the payment again.
If the payment still hasn’t succeeded after seven days, paid-only actions pause as if you were on Free. Your work is safe either way. See What happens to your work when a plan ends.
A first payment fails
When you subscribe, the plan starts only once the first payment succeeds. There is no grace period for a first payment.
