Appearance and themes
Choose White, Warm, Dark or System for the whole app, and the typeface for Story.
Open Settings → Appearance.
Environment
| Choice | What it does |
|---|---|
| White | Clean white surfaces. |
| Warm | A softer, paper-like tone. |
| Dark | Dark surfaces for low light. |
| System | Follows your device’s light or dark setting. |
Selecting a theme changes Settings and the whole app at once.
Writing appearance
Choose Scriptr Editorial or Scriptr Sans for Story. Screenplays always use Courier Prime. See Writing appearance in Story.
Saving
Appearance changes show a Save changes bar at the foot of Settings. Choose it to keep them. You see Preferences saved. If saving fails, nothing changes and you can try again.
Reduced motion
Scriptr follows your device’s reduced-motion setting. With it on, panels and menus appear without movement.
