Anonymous submissions
Export without your name, contact or company anywhere in the file, for blind-read competitions and open calls.
Many competitions and open calls read scripts blind. Anonymous export removes you from the file.
Turn it on
In Export, switch on Anonymous. Scriptr removes your name, contact and company from:
- the title page;
- running headers;
- the file’s properties, such as author, company and last modified by;
- the file name, which becomes anonymous-submission.
Your saved author details are untouched.
Checks
Anonymous export also searches the text for your name and company and shows any match, with where it is, so you can fix it. Some details can’t be detected automatically, such as a nickname or your agent’s address in an action line, so a manual check reminds you to look.
Submission profiles
Some presets follow a particular submission’s rules, such as BBC Writers. Check the opportunity’s current rules as well; they can change.
