Copyright notices and credits
Add writing credits, a copyright notice and company details to an export, without changing your manuscript.
Title page and credits
In Export, the title page holds the Title, Written by, other credits, Contact and Company. The page in the preview is outlined while you edit. See Exporting a screenplay.
Copyright notice
Under Rights & Credits, choose:
- All rights reserved, with the year and the rights holder: by default the current year and your name;
- or no notice.
In an exported Story, rights appear on a separate copyright page.
A notice isn’t registration, and it isn’t proof of ownership. For how copyright works in the UK, see GOV.UK’s guidance on how copyright protects your work.
File properties
Exported PDF and Word files carry the title and author in their file properties. Anonymous exports remove them. See Anonymous submissions.
Export never changes the manuscript
What you set in Export applies to that file only. It never changes your manuscript or your saved details.
