Keeping your account secure
Sign-in methods, codes for email changes, and signing out of other sessions.
Sign-in
Scriptr shows the sign-in method you used to create your account: email, Google or X. If you sign in with Google or X, Scriptr never receives your password for them. If you created a Scriptr password, it is stored only in a hashed form that can’t be read.
Email changes need a code
To change your email address, Scriptr sends a code. Nothing changes until it is confirmed. See Changing your email address.
Sign out other sessions
If you signed in on a computer you no longer use, or you think someone else has access:
- Open Settings → Account → Sessions.
- Choose Sign out other sessions, or Sign out all sessions.
Then change your password, or secure your Google or X account.
Security notices
Security emails are always sent, whatever your email preferences.
