Story vs Script
Story is prose and Script is a formatted screenplay. They are separate manuscripts in the same project, sharing its Characters & Places.

How they relate
A project can have a Story, a Script or both. They are separate manuscripts: writing in one does not change the other, and Scriptr does not turn one into the other automatically.
What they share is the project around them. Characters & Places, Co-writer and the Whiteboard all belong to the project, so Marcus in your Story and MARCUS in your Script can be the same character with one profile.
Which should I use?
Use whichever matches how the film is arriving. Many writers draft a treatment or the world in Story and write the screenplay in Script. Others only ever use one.
Good to know
Scriptr cannot convert a Story into a screenplay, or a screenplay into prose. Co-writer can help you draft scenes from your Story, and anything it writes waits for your approval.
