Creating and switching drafts

Create an alternate draft

1. In Story or Script, open the draft control in the writing header (the branch icon and the current draft’s name, such as Main draft ▾).
2. Choose Create alternate draft.
3. Give it a name that says what it is for, such as Alternate ending.

The new draft starts as an exact copy of the draft you were in, at that moment. Scriptr records the moment in history as a Branch point.

Switch drafts

Open the draft control and choose the draft. The manuscript changes to that draft, and the header shows its name.

Who can create drafts

Anyone with edit access to the project can create and switch drafts. People with view access can read the drafts they are shown.
