Generating images
Make an image from a prompt and references, for a look, a reference or a shot.
Image generation uses the same composer as video. Switch the composer to Image, write the prompt, add references, then Generate and confirm.
Steps
- In Production, switch the composer to Image.
- Describe the image: the subject, the setting, the light, the framing.
- Add references with + or @: characters, places, scenes, Whiteboard images, Production media or an image from your device.
- Choose the model, or leave it on Auto, and the frame and style.
- Choose Generate. The confirmation shows the model, the output, the references, the style and the cost. Confirm to start.
The image moves through Queued, Generating, Processing and Ready, like video.
What images are for
- A character’s or place’s look. See Images for character and place looks.
- A reference for later generations.
- A frame to start a video from.
- A shot in its own right, such as an insert.
Switching from Video
Switching from Video to Image keeps your prompt and characters.
Plans
Generation is part of the Director plan.
