When a generation fails
A failed take says what happened, and you aren’t charged for it. Try again, or choose another model.
Sometimes a model can’t produce a take. When that happens the take says Failed, explains what happened in plain words, and confirms that nothing was charged for it.
What you can do
- Try again with the same settings. Many failures are temporary.
- Choose another model, which may handle the shot differently.
- Revise the direction. A model may decline a prompt that asks for something it won’t make.
Your direction, references and settings are kept, so you don’t have to start again.
Common reasons
- The model was busy or unavailable.
- A reference wasn’t suitable for the model.
- The prompt asked for something the model doesn’t allow, such as a real person’s likeness or explicit content.
Cancelled generations
If you cancel a job before it reaches Processing, it stops and nothing is charged.
