Troubleshooting image generation
What to do when an image won’t generate, a look doesn’t apply, or a reference isn’t accepted.
The image failed
The take says what happened and that nothing was charged. Choose Try again, or Choose another model. See When a generation fails.
Generate isn’t offered
Generation is part of the Director plan. On other plans your prompt and references are kept and Develop stays available.
A reference isn’t accepted
The chosen model may not accept that kind of reference. Follow the fix Scriptr offers: switch model, use a frame instead of a clip, or remove the reference.
A character doesn’t look like themselves
Check that the character has a primary look on their profile. Without one, Scriptr uses their written description, which varies more. See Images for character and place looks.
The style is wrong
Earlier takes keep the style they were made with. Check the project’s visual style and whether the shot overrides it. See Setting a visual style for the project.
