Sharing a take or draft for review

Create a review link for one take or a frozen version of the draft. Reviewers comment at exact moments without an account.

A review link shows one piece of the film to someone outside the project, so they can watch it and comment. It is separate from inviting someone into the project.

  1. In Production, choose Share in the top bar.
  2. Choose what to share: this take, or the draft. Sharing the draft freezes it as a new version.
  3. Choose the options:
    • Comments: on or off.
    • Password: optional.
    • Downloads: allow or not.
    • Expiry: under More options.
  4. Choose Create review link.

Then Copy link to send it, or Open as reviewer to see exactly what they will see. Changes to the options apply to the link straight away.

What reviewers see

A standalone page: the Scriptr wordmark, the work, its timeline and the comments. There is none of the app around it, and nothing else from your project.

  • Reviewers don’t need an account. Guests give a name once, before their first comment.
  • With a password, nothing about the work is shown until the password is right.
  • With comments off, reviewers can watch but not comment.

Choose Revoke on the link and confirm. The link closes everywhere at once. Anyone who opens it afterwards sees no title or thumbnail, only how to ask for a new link. Expired links behave the same way.
