The working draft and versions
The selected take of every shot plays in order as one draft of the film. Freeze it as a version to share.
The working draft plays the film as it stands: scene by scene, shot by shot, using each shot’s selected take.
Watching the draft
The draft is one continuous timeline. Each clip is labelled with its scene and shot, for example 03/01 Doorway. Below the timeline, a strip of thumbnails shows the shots in the draft.
If a shot has no take yet, the gap is dashed, the viewer says which shot has no take, and the draft carries on.
Changing the draft
The draft follows your choices. Select a different take for a shot, and the draft plays that take from then on.
Versions
When you share the draft for review, Scriptr freezes it as a numbered version, for example Version 3. A version doesn’t change when you keep working, so comments on it always refer to what the reviewer saw.
Open a version to see it with its comments in the panel beside it.
