Comments on takes and versions

Comments are pinned to an exact time on one take or version, and every one reaches your Inbox.

Feedback on a film is about moments. In Production, every comment is pinned to a time and to one exact take or version, so it always points at what the person saw.

  1. Open the take or version and place the playhead where you want to comment.
  2. Open Comments. The composer is pinned to the playhead time.
  3. Write the comment and post it.

A marker appears on the timeline at that time. Markers are labelled with the author and the time.

Read and resolve

The Comments panel has Open and All. Reply to a comment to discuss it, and Resolve it when it’s dealt with.

Inbox

Every comment, from people in the project and from reviewers on a review link, reaches Inbox → Comments. Each row shows the project, the shot, the exact time and a quote. Opening one lands on that take at that moment, with the comment highlighted.

If a comment arrives while you’re working, a quiet notice appears with Open in Inbox.
