Creating Places

Scriptr adds the places in your scene headings automatically. You can also create a place yourself and give it reference images.

Places Scriptr finds for you

Each Scene Heading names a place. In INT. DALIA’S APARTMENT - NIGHT, Scriptr adds Dalia’s Apartment to Places, together with the scenes set there. A heading Scriptr cannot read is left alone rather than guessed at.

Create a place yourself

In Places, select + Place, type a name and select Create.
In Story, type / and choose New Place.

What a place profile holds

Place profiles work like character profiles: a Primary Look, References, What We Know about the place, and where it appears in the film.

Rename, merge or delete

Use ⋯ on the profile, exactly as for characters. See Creating Characters.
