Export problems
When Export is disabled, a check won’t pass, or the file isn’t what you expected.
Export is disabled
- The document is empty. There is nothing to export yet, and the check says so.
- A check is blocking. Open the checks: the blocking one names the fix. See Export presets and checks.
My latest writing isn’t in the file
Export uses the last version Scriptr saved. If a save was still in progress, Export tells you. Wait for your work to save, then export again. See Recovering recent writing.
The export failed
Scriptr says where it failed and keeps your settings. Choose Try again, or go back to the settings. No file is created when an export fails.
The Word file looks different
Word may reflow pages depending on the fonts on your computer. For a fixed layout, export PDF.
My name is still in an anonymous export
Anonymous export removes your name from the title page, headers, file properties and file name, and searches the text for it. Check the manual reminder: names in the text that it can’t recognise need removing by hand. See Anonymous submissions.
