Opening Tools with ⌘K or Ctrl+K

Press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows. Tools opens with the scene or chapter you are in, and any selection, already attached.

Open

  • Mac: press ⌘ K.
  • Windows: press Ctrl K.
  • Pointer: choose Tools at the foot of Story or Script.

Scriptr shows the shortcut for your computer: ⌘ on a Mac and Ctrl on Windows.

What comes with it

Tools opens knowing where you are: the current scene or chapter, and any text you have selected. A tool you choose acts on that, so Sharpen dialogue sharpens the line you selected.

Your caret, selection and scroll position are kept while Tools is open and after it closes.

Close

Press Esc, or press the shortcut again. Nothing changes until you choose a tool.
