Troubleshooting Tools

The shortcut does nothing

• Click into the manuscript first, so Story or Script has focus, then press the shortcut again.
• Another app or browser extension may use the same shortcut. Choose Tools at the foot of the page instead.
• On Windows, use Ctrl K, not ⌘.

A tool I expected isn’t there

Story and Script have different tools: screenplay elements are only in Script, prose styles only in Story. Check which you are in. Some tools need a selection, such as Ask about selection.

A Co-writer tool didn’t answer

Co-writer tools prepare a request; they don’t send it. Check the request and choose Send. See Co-writer isn’t responding.

“References couldn’t be loaded just now.”

The list of scenes, characters or places couldn’t load. Check your connection and open Tools again.
