Creating and managing projects

Every film you work on is a Project. Create, open, pin and find your projects from the sidebar and the Projects library.

Create a project

Select New project in the sidebar. You can begin with a blank Script, a blank Story, or Import writing you already have. See Creating your first project.

Find and open projects

  • The Projects section of the sidebar lists your projects. Select one to open its Project Home.
  • Projects opens the full library, including projects you have archived.
  • Projects that other people have invited you to appear alongside your own.

The project menu

Open the menu with ⋯ beside a project in the sidebar. From it you can:

  • rename the project by typing in the name field,
  • change its Appearance (icon, emoji or image, and colour),
  • Open project,
  • Import… another piece of writing as a new project,
  • open Project details…,
  • Pin or Unpin it, so it stays at the top of the sidebar,
  • Archive or Unarchive it.

Good to know

  • Each project keeps the format it was created with (screenplay or prose).
  • Projects cannot yet be duplicated or moved between accounts.
