Choosing a voice
Browse the voice library, filter by accent, age and quality, and play samples before you audition a voice on a line.
Browse the library
In Voice Studio, choose Choose a voice. Each voice in the library shows:
- its name and a one-line description of its character;
- accent, register, age and quality;
- a sample you can play;
- Compare, to try it on a line beside others.
While the library loads, Voice Studio shows placeholder rows. It never shows an old list.
Narrow it down
Use the filters, such as Quality or Accent. Filters combine, so Warm and Scottish shows warm Scottish voices.
Listen
Play a voice’s sample. Samples are the library’s own, so playing them never uses your allowance.
Then
Add the voices you like to Compare and audition them on a real line. See Auditioning voices. When you have decided, choose Use for and the character’s name. See Saving and changing a voice.
The library offers stock voices only. Voice Studio doesn’t clone voices from recordings of real people.
