Comparing performances

Side by side

Compare shows each voice’s performance of the same line next to the others. Compare works one line at a time; choose another line to hear all the voices again.

On narrow screens, Compare sits below Try a line, and the performances follow the line in one column.

If a take fails

A take that can’t be performed says This take couldn’t be performed. Nothing was used. Choose Retry for that voice. The other voices stay playable.

Choose

Choose Use for and the character’s name on the voice you want. That voice is outlined and labelled, for example Benjamin’s voice. See Saving and changing a voice.

Keep a take

A performance you like can be kept as a take, renamed or archived. Keeping a take never changes the character’s voice.
