Saving and changing a voice

Save the voice

Choose Use for and the character’s name. The voice is outlined and labelled, for example Benjamin’s voice, and the character’s identity card updates. A confirmation says that Script and Production will use it, with Undo.

Undo returns the character to their previous voice, or to none.

On the profile

The character’s Voice section shows the voice’s name, where it came from and its qualities, a sample with its line, Open Voice Studio and Change voice, and the takes you kept, each with its scene.

Change it

Choose Change voice, or Use for on another voice in Voice Studio. The new voice is used everywhere from then on. Takes you kept stay as they were performed.

Takes

Open a take’s menu to Rename, Archive or Remove take. Removing a take deletes its audio. None of these change the voice.

Who can change it

Anyone with edit access to the project, on Writer or Director.
